Honesty

I turned 32 on Monday, and Macey took this day to fill me in on a couple things that I didn't know. First I was shopping for a new pair of shoes, and after the 3rd try of them not having my size, I told her I was mad because they didn't have my size in anything. She told me 'Mommy your feet are just too big'. (she is right they are a size 10 or 11). To top off the compliments that day, later that night out of the blue she says 'Mommy your hair is turning white'. Kids are so darn honest.

I took the picture below of Macey and Caitlin, it was about 79 degrees that day, but she insisted on wearing the earmuffs.

Some recent drawings...the first one is a book she made at school, it has several pages of the gifts she would give her goat, but I only scanned the front page...also a picture of a baby in a basket, and a butterfly; and also a drawing of our family.

Dallas Arboretum

We went to the Arboretum this past Saturday. It was so crowded and felt more like summer than fall...it was all I could do to keep Macey's shirt on her...when she gets hot all modesty goes out the window. Caitlin just 'chilled' with Nana most the time, and her other cousins ran off energy. Me and Kristi just took pics (see slideshow below).

Halloween

Macey had a very fun Halloween. She was obviously a Penn State cheerleader (even though she was saying 'hook 'em horns' all day)...at least she likes 2 top ranked football teams. Vince and I were off work that day so we could participate in Macey's 'trunk or treat' at school. Then they had a party in the afternoon. Later that evening Taylor and Zach came to our house to go trick or treating. They got lots of candy, we even had to make a stop by our house to empty their buckets so they could go get more. Vince and Clay stayed at the house to try and scare the kiddos as they came up the driveway.

Katy & Chelsea's Visit

Katy and Chelsea finally made it to TX for the first time. They were able to visit while on there fall break from Samford in Alabama. We had a lot of fun...Taylors soccer game, Zach's 4th bday party, Victory Park in Dallas, and a cookout at Mom and Dad's. Dad had everything in working order, the go cart, 4 wheeler, dirt bike and motorcyles, so we were able to 'play' with everything, and amazingly no one got hurt. Macey, Taylor, Zach, and Caitlin really miss there cousins!!

Trevor's pig

Trevor bought a pig recently to raise and later sell...Vince took Macey out to see it on Sunday...her name is Sweetness.

Sad news...

Tuesday night my grandmother, Mimi passed away peacefully. We are all saddened by this, but we know she is in a peaceful place right now. Please pray for our family as we travel to Georgia.
